Robson Praise For Goalscorer Robinson

The former Watford midfielder, who recently penned a new contract at The Hawthorns, scored the all-important equaliser at Villa Park to earn the Baggies a point that lifted them out of the bottom three in the Premiership table for the first time in months.

"I think Robinson is an under-rated player. Since I've been at the club and put him into the team he has been playing really well against some of the best wide players in the country," Robson said after the 1-1 draw at Villa Park.

"It's the first time he has scored for the club and it could not have come at a more vital time and I'm delighted for him.

"His goal illustrates the mood in the players at the moment and as manager I cannot ask anything more of them as far as work-rate and endeavour is concerned.

"I was a little disappointed with the way we started the game as Villa were sharper than us in that period. They deserved the lead but I have to say I am really pleased with the response from the players in the second half.

"The way they raised their game and created some good situations, I thought we thoroughly deserved the point.

"Lee Hendrie caused a lot of problems but at the end of the first half we changed our tactics. But it was still about attitude and character.

"They kept going and we deserved the goal to get something out of the game."
