Robson: We Deserved Something

Th Baggies were more than a match against last season title winners until but second-half goals from Robin van Persie and Edu ensured they remained in the Premier League tables bottom three with the daunting task of a trip to Old Trafford to play Manchester United on Saturday.

"Sometimes you get games where there's no justice because, the way the lads played and the performance they put in tonight, they deserved something from this match," said a dejected Robson.

"Everywhere around the pitch we matched Arsenal, and I thought the commitment of the players was different class.

"We've next got Manchester United on Saturday, and if they perform anywhere near the way they did tonight, then we should get our just rewards.

"I am not saying we will win the game, but I feel we should get a result.

"We then have to hope that, after the games at the weekend, we go into the last match of the season with a chance of staying up.

"I knew it was always going to be a hard battle keeping the club in the Premiership when I first arrived here, and the lads have done terrifically well to put themselves in the position they are in.

"I do feel we have not had any breaks along the way, but they still have the belief they can get out of this.

"They know they have done well against Arsenal, and what we need is another performance like that when we face Manchester United."
