Robson: We Deserved Something

"In the first-half we were poor, but in the second we put Villa on the back foot and after we equalised I felt that we could go on and win it," he said after the 2-1 defeat at The Hawthorns on Monday.

"The referee did not give us a penalty when I thought we could have had one and every time we were taking free-kicks he told us to wait for the whistle.

"But when Barry asked for the same he was told he could take it quickly. It seems there was one rule for one and for another.

"That is the only gripe we have, that the ref did not allow us to play quickly and that cost us.

"It was a handball but he should not have been able to take the free-kick quickly.

"Our lads had lined the wall up and they were waiting for the referee's whistle and that is what he had told them all the way through the game.

"That is what my players are complaining about. But there is no point moaning to the referee about it as you will only get fined."
