Hal Robson-Kanu has vowed to build on a solid start to his Albion career after signing a new three-year contract at The Hawthorns.

The 28-year-old joined on a free transfer last summer and scored three goals in 30 appearances.

The Welsh international was singled out by Head Coach Tony Pulis on a number of occasions for his professionalism after playing a supporting role to Salomon Rondon for much of last season.

The former Reading man scored Albion's 'Goal of the Season' after his stunning strike against Southampton on New Year's Eve and his now hoping for more in the years to come.

"I'm delighted because it's an opportunity to build on the good work we did last season and now I'm just looking forward to the new one," he said.

"It was an easy decision. I've enjoyed my time here playing under Tony Pulis. It was a strong season and I want to build on the good work and contribute to a more successful future.

"As soon as I arrived the fans took to me and that love grew over the course of the season.

"And the lads have been terrific - they are a fantastic bunch of players and you can see there is a real togetherness in the squad."
