Skipper eager to get back on track

Jonny Evans wants Albion to get back being defensively solid after the Baggies conceeded three poor goals during the 3-1 defeat at Brighton.

Albion let in goals either side of the half time break with another conceeded on the hour mark.

Captain Evans admits the goals were sloppy and ultimately cost Albion all three points.

“It’s not like us to concede like that,” he told WBATV.

“The timing of the goals wasn’t great, especially before the break.

“The manager said that to us at the end of the game.

“We gave ourselves too much of a mountain to climb to get back into it.

“The introduction of Mozza and Oli gave us some fresh legs and more of an attacking threat going forward but it was too late by then.”
