Former Wolves defender Jamie Smith will take charge of Albion's Under-23 side next season.

The coach, who joined the club to manage the Under-18 side, has been given the role after Jimmy Shan was appointed in Darren Moore's first team backroom staff.

Smith's position with the Under-18 side will be filled by existing Under-16 coach Michael Scott. Peter Gilbert will continue as Under-18 assistant coach.

The Birmingham born 43-year-old played for 8 different sides during his playing career including spells at Crystal Palace, Fulham and MK Dons.
