Gary Megson has said that West Bromwich Albion must spend before their Premiership season kicks-off following their 3-2 win at Exeter City. There are now just 24 days to improve his squad before the opening game.

Megson was due to meet executive chairman Jeremy Peace and managing director Brendon Batson for further transfer talks, made changes yesterday, bringing in 18-year-old Lloyd Dyer to left wing-back, while Neil Clement moved to centre-back due to Phil Gilchrist going over on his ankle at the weekend.
