After returning from a serious knee injury against Charlton Athletic on Saturday 15th December, Kevin Phillips' dramatic comeback has resulted in the striker scooping the Powerade Player-of-the-Month Award in the Coca-Cola Championship.

Five goals in just four games has propelled Phillips ahead of Sheffield United's James Beattie in the goal scoring charts as the Baggies topped the Championship going in to 2008.

Braces against Bristol City and Scunthorpe in consecutive fixtures at The Hawthorns ensured the 34-year-old beat Bristol City's Bradley Orr, Crystal Palace's Clinton Morrison and Stoke City's Ricardo Fuller to the award.
