The Italian media are linking Albion with a £5m bid for Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia.
The 29-year-old defender joined Hull City back in January on loan but was unable to prevent the Tigers avoiding relegation.
Ranocchia impressed at the KC Stadium and has been linked with a number of other Premier League teams.
He joined Internazional back in 2010 but the Milan club are keen to trim their playing squad and are open to offers for the 6' 3" defender.
Meanwhile, Albion are playing down rumours linking Craig Dawson with Burnley. The Clarets had a £3m offer turned down by Albion previously but could now rekindle their interest with Michael Keane's move to Everton immenient.
