West Brom welcome Burnley to the Hawthorns this weekend having picked up their first win last weekend away at Tottenham, securing a 1-0 win. Burnley, meanwhile, are still in search of their first win this season but have showed some encouraging signs in the first few games, having drawn three of them.

West Brom midfielder Craig Gardner has made the most successful tackles of any West Brom player so far this season. The midfielder has managed 20 successful tackles in the league thus far, which, according to the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index, ranks him seventh out of any player in the division.

Youssuff Mulumbu has cut out the most opposition passes among the Baggies, and the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index illustrates that he is inside the top ten of the league for interceptions with fourteen to his name. The midfield enforcer is a vital cog in the West Brom midfield and Alan Irvine will be hoping he carries his form into the game against Burnley this weekend.

James Morrison impressed against Tottenham, picking up the only goal of the game. His ball retention and creativity going forward was particularly strong and the Scotsman had an impressive pass completion rate of 89.4%, according to the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index.

Scott Arfield of Burnley has made the most sprints in the Premier League, bringing his total for the season up to 278. The midfielder has also covered the third most ground in the Premier League so far, totaling 60.52km, according to the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index.

David Jones made the greatest number of passes in the opposition half last weekend, with 28, according to the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index. The midfielder has the ability to have a real impact going forward and he could well play a key part if Burnley are to grab their first win this weekend.

Jason Shackell has made the fifth most clearances in the Premier League, with 51, according to the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index. The defender has made a good start to Premier League life and he will have to continue his defensive work this coming weekend.
