West Brom to pay 3m for Foster

Ben Foster's desire to stay in the Midlands has given West Brom the edge over rivals Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers.

Recently appointed Steve Clarke is moving in on the capture of Ben Foster from local rivals Birmingham City.

Clarke is set to offer £3million for Foster, who had a successful campaign with West Brom on loan last season. He is also being tracked by QPR and Tottenham but is keen on staying in the area and is willing to discuss terms with Albion.

It is looking like Birmingham will cash in on Foster as they failed to return to the Premier league at the first attempt last season. They are also believed to be targeting Boaz Myhill as part of the deal either on loan or on a permanent basis.
