Yacob signs new deal

Albion midfielder Claudio Yacob has signed a new two year contract.

The new deal will keep him at The Hawthorns until at least the summer of 2017.

Yacob played a huge part in Albion’s success towards the end of the season playing a pivotal role in midfield alongside captain Darren Fletcher as the Baggies finished 13th.

The Argentinian midfielder, who has three caps for his country, joined Albion on a free transfer from Racing Club in 2012.

The tough tackling midfielder has since gone on to make 85 appearances for the Baggies scoring once. He made 24 appearances in all competitions last season after initially struggle to impress Alan Irvine before the arrival of Tony Pulis marked an upturn in his first-team opportunities.
