Craig Beattie took just 20 minutes to stake his place for Saturday's game at Leicester (KO 14.15pm). The Scottish international played the full 90 minutes with senior players Shelton Martis, Tininho and Richard Chaplow all playing a part.
The result was sealed in the 59th minute when Josh Knight powered home from 10 yards after good work from Richard Chaplow.
Beattie will be now hoping his performance for Craig Shakespeare's men will be enough to see him in the starting XI against the Foxes.
