An innovative new partnership between the Club and THINK! child road safety campaign has been launched with the help of children from Galton Valley Primary School in Smethwick.

The initiative will focus on helping six to 11-year-olds learn how to find safe places to cross the roads after evidence showed this is a key factor in keeping children safe .

Mike Penning, Road Safety Minister, said he was “delighted” the campaign had linked up with the Club who “help get the message across” to youngsters.

Albion will use its after-school clubs and matchdays to help youngsters learn about the dangers of crossing roads and how to find safe alternative crossing points.

Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United and Sunderland are also helping to promote the campaign.
