Despite Neil Clement heading north to Hull on loan on Monday, Tony Mowbray has ruled out any new defenders arriving at The Hawthorns. Although the Club have included a clause allowing 'Clem' to be recalled after the first 28 days of his spell on Humberside the Albion boss has a number of options to call upon if needed with 'Bostin' Cesar and Shelton Martis waiting in the wings should they be called upon.

The current pairing of Martin Albrechtsen and Leon Barnett have impressed Mowbray in the last three matches creating a sequence of consecutive clean-sheets - the Baggies first in three-months - with the Albion boss confident of continuing the run which has shut out Sheffield United and Coventry City.

"Bringing in another centre-half is not on the agenda at the moment," Mowbray commented.

"Numbers-wise we are okay defensively.

"We've had two clean-sheets on the bounce now after being made aware that we needed to improve that part of our game.

"We'll wait and see how we go over the next few games.

"We've got Pele, Cesar and Martis not playing in the team at the moment, so there are no immediate thoughts in that position."
