Albion have beaten a number of Championship clubs for the signing of Rotherham striker Reuben Reid. The 21-year-old becomes Albion's third signing of summer, and most likely Roberto Di Matteo's first since being appointed head coach, after signing a two-year contract, plus a further year in the club's favour, for an undisclosed fee.
The former Plymouth trainee signed at Rotherham last season after impressing on trial and scored a respectable 19 goals last season for the Millers - including strikes against Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday in the Carling Cup.
"Reuben is a young, exciting, talented player," Di Matteo said of the young forward who can also play wide-right.
"He has a lot of potential to improve.
"He scored a lot of goals last season and has a lot of pace.
"He will give us a different option
"We have signed Reuben as a squad member and everyone is going to have to be patient as we slowly introduce him."
