Albion make Philips bid

Tony Pulis could finally get his man after Albion made a £4m offer for QPR winger Matt Phillips.

The former Blackpool wide man has been a long-standing target for Pulis and the Baggies made an approach for the winger last season after Rangers were relegated.

Albion were then quoted £10m for the 25-year-old. But after he entered the last year of his deal at Loftus Road, his asking price has more than halved.

He found the net 8 times in 47 appearances last term - including twice against Wolves - and has been identified by Tony Pulis as one of a new batch of younger attacking players.

Phillips was capped by England at Under-19 and Under-20 level but decided to play for Scotland back in 2012. He has since gone on to make 4 international appearances.
