West Brom strikers Roman Bednar and Simon Cox both hope to step up to the challenge of scoring the goals to keep Albion in the Premier League next season.  The two front men have both fired 11 goals this term but have little if none top flight experience.

Czech international striker Bednar scored six goals last term in the Premier League but was restricted to just 12 starts by former boss Tony Mowbray.  Cox on the other hand is still waiting to make an appearance in the Premier League with the pair confident after helping the Baggies to promotion.

"I was at a Premier League club but I wasn't playing, that's why I had to leave and went to Swindon," Cox explained.

"I never got the chance to play at Reading, gradually I've made my way back up.

"I've scored ten league goals and that's not a bad ratio for someone who hasn't played in the Championship before.

"If I'm given the chance I'm sure I can score goals in the Premier League.

"I like to find little holes in the box and if it falls to me I'm pretty confident in that area.

"I'm going to go away when the season finishes, enjoy my holidays and then come back in raring to go.

"We're going to be buzzing coming back to the Premier League.

"We'll take it stage by stage, look at the fixtures, game by game, the derbies, the big games, Old Trafford and places like that.

"When the first game comes around it'll be surreal for me really.

"That's where I want to play my football and I'm doing it step by step."

Bednar echoed his strike partner’s thoughts ensuring his time last season has helped him learn some valuable lessons and improve as a player.

"I learnt so much last year, even on the pitch!" said Albion’s popular No.9.

"I wasn't playing so I know what you need to do to play and I think I am doing it.

"I want to play in the Premier League for the rest of my life and I will do anything to do that.

"I am looking forward to the big games, derbies and all the games, because all the games in the Premier League are big.

"We want to compete with the best players in the world.

"This club is always under pressure because we are always looking to get promoted or trying not to get relegated.

"That's why I love this club. It makes you work really hard.

"Of course the target is to stay up next season but I'm not looking at that.

"I'm looking to do a little bit more."
