Albion target Chris Baird has been released by Fulham after his contract expired.

The Baggies came close to signing the Northern Ireland international in January only to see the move fall through.

However, Albion are now expected to reignite their interest in the player after he became a free agent.

Baird came through the ranks at Southampton and made 68 senior appearances for the Saints before joining Fulham in 2007.

He went on to make 127 appearances for the Cottagers, scoring four times. The Northern Ireland international has made 61 appearances for his country after making his debut back in 2003.

Would Baird be a good signing for Albion? Have your say here at Baggies Banter.
