Former Liverpool, Juventus and PSG midfieler Mohamed Sissoko today begins a week long trial at Albion after impressing in the Baggies' 1-0 friendly win over Dehli Daredevils.

The midfielder was a surprise inclusion on Albion's teamsheet during the international friendly.

The Mali international impressed in Albion's engine room breaking up play in front of Albion's back four.

The 31-year-old lasted for 72 minutes on his trial and now hopes to earn a deal with a week's training with the club.

“I’ll be here with West Brom this week and we’ll see what happens after that,” he said after Saturday's game. "The manager has told me just to come and enjoy it and then we’ll sit down and talk about my future."

Baggies boss Tony Pulis is keen to add another midfielder to his squad after missing out on a number of targets during the transfer window.
