West Bromwich Albion have won their appeal against the red card shown to captain Paul Robinson in Saturday's defeat against Sunderland. Defender Robinson was dismissed by referee Dermot Gallagher three minutes from time for a professional foul on Black Cats' midfield man Liam Miller. The Football Association has now reversed the decision. Robinson would have missed Sunday's game against Wolves at Molineux and the home game with Crystal Palace. Replays suggested there was no contact between the players. Before the decision, West Brom secretary Dr John Evans said: "Paul is adamant there was no contact. "I don't believe the evidence is there to show there was contact. The best angle from behind the goal suggests there was no contact at all."
