Baggies get the horn!

Club ban the vuvuzela

Albion has today announced they’re to ban the entry of vuvuzela’s next season.

The club made the announcement after claiming it would ‘break the league's ground regulations’ and also cited the objections of TV companies.

The horns were a mainstay of the recent World Cup in South Africa creating a constant buzz during the tournament.  However, Mark Miles, Albion's head of facility operations and development, claims the vuvuzelas would be out of place at The Hawthorns.

“Although vuvuzelas are very popular in South Africa, which was very evident at the World Cup, we do not see them as becoming part of the English football culture,” he said.

"Most importantly, we have had a lot of feedback from our own supporters who have overwhelmingly stated their opposition to vuvuzelas being allowed into The Hawthorns."
