Baggies boss Darren Moore was all smiles after seeing his side go top of the league after 10 games.

Albion swept aside bottom side Preston North End 3-2 with goals from Jay Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle sandwiched by an own goal.

The hosts equalised at 1-1 and scored a late consolation, but Moore was more than happy to see his side earn another three points - after three straight wins.

Moore said: "I'm very, very pleased again with the three points.

"Despite scoring three goals I thought we could have got more.

"The lads found another way to win the game. Preston pressed us and made it difficult for us at times. We had to be patient and probe.

"The goals came and opened up the latter part of the game. Preston's goal made it a tense couple of minutes, but we were worthy winners.

"It's always nice to win games and keep momentum.

"Each game presents a different hurdle. Everyone to a man is rising to the challenge."
