West Brom striker Stuart Nicholson has joined League Two outfit Bristol Rovers on a month's loan. The 19-year-old was an unused substitute for Saturday's 1-0 defeat at the hands of visiting Norwich and has yet to start a senior League fixture. Nicholson will go straight into the Pirates squad for Saturday's trip to Bury but will be barred from playing for Rovers in the FA Cup. Albion boss Tony Mowbray said: "We feel Stuart needs to go out and play some League football, as opposed to just doing well in the reserves. "It is important he gets some league experience. Hopefully, he will score some goals for Bristol and come back and be pushing to get a place in and around the first team."
