Gareth Barry says it was Albion's character that earned them a point against Aston Villa on Friday night.
Albion looked to be heading for defeat until Jay Rodriguez's late equaliser to earn a point.
Barry believes it's this level of resilience that will prove pivotal going into the second half of the season as Albion aim for promotion.
He said: "We’re disappointed to concede in the manner of their first goal but coming back showed our character. It shows what sort of dressing room we’ve got.
“The manager will be delighted to have that in the dressing room. It’s going to be needed again this season.
“There will be ups and downs, games like this.
“We’ll need mental strength in the business end of the season when hopefully we’ll be right up there challenging."
