Craig Beattie has warned his West Brom team-mates they must "win the physical battle" if they are to claim a victory over QPR on Sunday. The 25-year-old striker admits the Baggies are desperate to bounce back from their crushing midweek Carling Cup exit at the hands of Cardiff, a defeat which ended a run of over nine hours without conceding at The Hawthorns.

"It's going to be a case of 'win the battle and win the match' against QPR on Sunday," he told the club's official website. "I'm sure the fans remember from last season that they are quite physical. The QPR match is massive and I'm really hoping they will take the brunt of our midweek disappointment against Cardiff. We're every bit as disappointed as the fans (about the 4-2 cup defeat), and whoever the manager picks at the weekend it's up to them to bounce back and put things right."

The Hawthorns battle is live on Sky Sports 1, kick-off 1.15pm.
