Roman Bednar has ended his contract wrangle with the club by finally agreeing an improved offer at The Hawthorns. Albion effectively tied Bednar to the club at the end of last season after activating his loan spell from Hearts into a permanent deal. However since then the one-cap Czech international has been at loggerheads with the club over the terms of his contract.

The 25-year-old has now signed a new three-year deal, with a further year in the club's favour.

"Roman has agreed a new contract and he is now focused and desperate to prove himself in the Premier League," the striker's agent, Eliot van Tal said.
