Tony Pulis saw his Albion side move into the top six after a 3-1 victory over a spirited Watford side.

The Baggies were on the back foot until Jonny Evans powered home a close range in the 16th minute.

It was two just after the half hour mark when Chris Brunt drove home a long range effort.

Albion wre crusing until the hour mark when Watford defender Christian Kabasele scrambled home from close range.

But after Hornetts winger Roberto Pereyra was given his marching orders five minutes from time, Matty Phillips curled home to move Albion on to 20 points and up to sixth in the Premier League.

"It was tough. Watford are very strong physically. We have had to stand up for ourselves," Albion boss Tony Pulis said.

"I'm more disappointed with the one we conceded from a set-piece than the one we scored.

"We have a good spirit here. They are playing well. I am very pleased with Matty Phillips today. In a lot of areas we have had to grind it out and still created good opportunities."
