Boss explains Cesar's absence

Tony Mowbray explained 'Bostin' Cesar's absence from the Cardiff squad was due to illness. The on loan defender had not trained adequately in the week due to illness however Mowbray had positive news regarding the return of Scottish international Craig Beattie.

"Craig's trained this morning and will join back in with the team on Monday," Mowbray revealed.

"He'll be sniffing an opportunity.

"He'll hopefully come back very hungry and do what he's been doing, which is scoring goals.

"Bostjan's been unwell this week and hadn't done enough training to get a place on the bench.

"We opted for Jared Hodgkiss today and let's hope Bostjan gets a good week's training behind him next week."
