Boss full of praise for winger after Foxes win

Tony Pulis singled out Matty Phillips after the winger set up the first goal and then scored Albion's winner in the 2-1 victory at Leicester.

The Baggies were well worth their victory at the home of the English champions.

James Morrison's cute header opened the scoring six minutes after the break from Phillips' cross.

Summer transfer target Islam Slimani then equalised only three minutes later with another header.

But Albion were not finished and Phillips raced onto Danny Drinkwater's poor back pass and cooly finished to earn Albion three much needed points.

"Phillips should score a lot more goals," Pulis insisted. "It is confidence that is the problem for him. He has the tools to be a very good player.

"He has got everything a top player needs - power and strength and quality on the ball. The big weakness is his belief; he should have no doubts at all.

"I have had a chat with the Chinese owners about bringing good players in over the next few windows. Chadli came in and has been first class - that is what the club have to do."
