West Brom have completed the £3million signing of midfielder Chris Brunt from Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday. The Northern Ireland international has put pen to paper on a four-year deal after passing a medical at The Hawthorns. The Baggies were given permission to speak to the 22-year-old wide player earlier this week after matching the Owls' valuation of the player. Brunt started his career as a trainee at Middlesbrough before signing for Wednesday on a permanent basis in April 2004 following a successful loan spell with the club. He was outstanding for the Owls last season, making 44 appearances for Brian Laws' side and scoring 10 goals as the South Yorkshire side made a late charge for promotion.
