Now Megson is expecting Moore to press on from that and be back in first-team contention come the hectic Christmas schedule.
“Playing games again is going to be difficult for Darren and he’s going to be knackered after that length of time out,” the Albion boss told the clubs official website.
“It’s good for him to get back out on the pitch and in that type of reserve team game as well and play 72 minutes.
“We’ll be looking for him to come back around Christmas time because although he’s a big lad, he’s also a fit lad and it’s just a case of getting as many games and training sessions into him as quickly as we can without going too fast."
