Steve Clarke wants to put the controversial end to the Chelsea game behind him as he starts plotting victory over the Villa.
Albion were denied three historic points at Stamford Bridge after Andre Marriner’s decision to award Chelsea a last minute penalty.
Reports have since been published documenting a tunnel bust-up between several Albion players and Jose Mourinho – where he is believed to have labelled the Baggies a ‘Micky Mouse’ club.
But Clarke, who admitted his disappointment at the penalty, wants to now put the past behind him and focus on the local derby with neighbours Aston Villa.
“I don’t think you can linger and look backwards for too long in the Barclays Premier League,” said Albion’s head coach.
“We don’t get some of the players back for a while and our next game is against Villa, which is a great game at home.
“We’ll take all the good bits from the Chelsea game and look forward to what should be a good derby game.
“It’s not until a week on Monday, so at least when the players come back from international duty, we’ll have three of four days together to prepare for the next game.”
