Defenders season nearly over

Gilchrist reurned to the Baggies side for the game with Middlesbrough last weekend but after turning up for training at the beginning of this week he complained of swelling to the knee and has been advised to rest for a month.
"Phil came back into training this week saying his knee still didn't feel right," Albion boss Gary Megson told the club's official website.
"He has now been advised to give it complete rest. At this late stage that near enough writes him off for the rest of the season.
