Injured pair Jay Simpson and Jonas Olsson have set targets for their return from injury.

Simpson limped off during Albion's 3-1 FA Cup defeat against Burnley with a grade-one hamstring strain with Olsson missing for last seven games with a knee problem.

On-loan striker Simpson hopes to be fit to travel to Fulham if the weather permits him to train, however the trip to Craven Cottage looks to be a week too soon for Swedish defender Olsson.

"I would hope Jay will be back by the Fulham game," Mowbray admitted.

"But there is no guarantee.

"If we can't get him out on the training pitches?

"Next week is important because if we can get him running and jogging he'll be pretty close for Fulham."

It was first thought that Olsson had tendonitis in his knee however tests showed it was too much strain without recovery on the joint causing the no-nonsense defender problems.

"Jonas went through a two-week spell of resting and letting the inflammation settle down," Mowbray continued.

"We're now building him up over the next three to four weeks.

"I'd say he's got another three weeks to go and that's if everything goes smoothly.
