"It was a 50-50 situation. The referee could have said to the players 'behave yourselves and get on with the game'," manager Bryan Robson said after the match.
"I don't think there was a serious blow from either player. Hopefully the video proves that and the referee reverses his decision.
"If that doesn't happen we will appeal as we do not want to be without a player for three matches."
