Doubts emerged over the keepers future at the Albion when his agent hinted that Hoult was about to hand in a transfer request after talks over an extention on his current contract, which still has three years to run, had broke down.
"I've asked for an extension on my contract," Hoult told the Birmingham Evening Mail website.
"I'm still thinking things over and leaving it at the minute.
"I enjoy it here, I get on well with the fans, the management and everyone else.
"I would really like to stay here longer but obviously the club has its opinions and that's the way it is at the minute."
