Injured duo hopeful for cup return

Tony Mowbray has revealed that Albion could be boosted with the return of Roman Bednar, Robert Koren and Zoltan Gera for Saturday's FA Cup fifth-round tie at Coventry. The trio were sorely missed during Tuesday's 0-0 draw with Sheffield United with the Baggies boss confident two of the injured three will be back for the Cup.

"I think two of those three will be ready to play but one probably won't," Mowbray said.

"But we think we will be better off regarding team selection on Saturday.

"Part of our strength this season has been being able to change things off the bench and we didn't have those options on Tuesday.

"We only had one striker - Craig Beattie - among our subs plus a goalkeeper and three defenders, which wasn't ideal at all.

"But we should be better off at Coventry."

Albion
will definitely be without both skipper Jonathan Greening (suspension) and Jared Hodgkiss (hernia) for the short journey down the M6.
