Kiely: No more tears on my pillow

Goalkeeper Dean Kiely is convinced he and his West Brom team-mates have put their Championship play-off final heartbreak behind them. The 36-year-old was between the sticks at Wembley in May when Derby winger Stephen Pearson scored the only goal of the promotion decider. The 1-0 loss consigned Albion to another season of second-tier football but the shot-stopper is confident thoughts of that national stadium defeat have been banished.

Kiely said: "I think we have got Wembley out of our system and that is important. The gaffer wrapped it up after the Wembley game by thanking the players for their efforts last season and said he hoped we would come back with a resolve and a determination to put things right. We did not get the result we wanted and there was a lot of pain and disappointment but people are not labouring about what happened at Wembley."
