Kim Do-heon on brink of Baggies debut

Deadline day signing Kim Do-heon stands a good chance of making his Baggies debut on Saturday after finally receiving international clearance. The Korean international midfielder has seen his short spell at The Hawthorns disrupted through red-tape and a trip back to his homeland for a World Cup qualifier.

However the return of the midfielder is a timely boost for Tony Mowbray with Jonathan Greening suspended and Robert Koren and Zoltan Gera struggling with injuries for the fifth-round tie with the Albion boss admitting Do-heon is now firmly in his thoughts for the weekend.

"We will put the strongest team available out at Coventry and there will be no disrespect to the FA Cup," Mowbray said.

"Do-Heon has a good chance of playing some part of the game.

"He has shown up very well in training and looks a very talented footballer, as we saw when he came over for his training spell in December.

"He's only just stepped off a plane from the Korea Republic but I think there's a fair chance he'll have some part to play."

Although it seems Do-heon is preparing to wear the famous stripes for the first time another deadline day signing, goalkeeper Michal Danek, will have to wait for his chance with Mowbray keen to stick with Dean Kiely.

"I won't be changing my keeper," Mowbray continued.

"Unless there's an injury, that won't change."
