Kirkland Named In England Squad

The Baggies keeper has been named in England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson's squad for the games against Wales in Cardiff on September 3rd and Northern Ireland in Belfast on September 7th.

"Chris Kirkland is a brilliant prospect who has suffered badly with injuries, but he is now started playing regularly again, so I feel the time is right to have a good look at him," Eriksson said on naming his squad on Sunday evening.

* Michael Owen is suspended for the Wales game.
