The Baggies boss said he thought the play in the first half warranted a half time lead but was thankful for Hayden Mullins own goal after West Ham had taken the lead.

"We gave away a ridiculous goal and in the end we had to be thankful for an own goal, but I always felt it was a game we did not deserve to lose.

"In the first half I thought we played ever so well. I was disappointed we weren't leading.

"We are coming up to the halfway stage, we have 41 points and we are three points clear of the team in third place.

"All we can do is keep kicking on and doing the right things for the club."
