Tony Mowbray has revealed that Albion are in talks with Benfica and Portugal international striker, Azira Makukula.
The 27-year-old arrived in England yesterday with a view to agreeing personal terms and completing a medial after Benfica revealed a deal had been agreed on their website yesterday.
However, a cautious Mowbray insisted there was still a long way to go before penning a deal for the 6ft 4in Congo born hitman.
"Makukula is coming over but there is a long way to go before anything is sorted," the Baggies boss said.
"Regarding his fitness, he hasn't played for a long time and there's also the financial side of things.
"Makukula's got a physical presence and I think, at times, our team needs more of that,"
