Mowbray calls for calm after Coventry defeat.

Individual defensive errors once again came back to haunt West Brom as Coventry captalised to take the Baggies' unbeaten home record this season. After conceeding just four goals in the last eight games, old habits returned with Leon Best and Michael Mifsud both scoring twice in a 4-2 defeat.

After conceeding two early first half goals the Baggies found themselves firmly back in the ascendancy with a second half brace from Roman Bednar. But the combination of two yellow cards in the space of seven minutes for Paul Robinson and suicidal defending saw the Sky Blues take the lead once again through Leon Best and secure the points with Michael Mifsud's 86th minute strike.

After losing for the first time since October, the Albion boss called for calm. "It was a topsy-turvey game," Mowbray said.

"Coventry played well and had a lot of energy about them.

"They attacked well and ran out worthy winners.

"We had a good 15-minute chat in the dressing room afterwards about what we think.

"Basically, lets not make a crisis out of a home defeat."

After seeing his team keep four clean sheets since the Colchester defeat Mowbray was left to rue costly individual errors again.

"Some poor decisions cost us tonight - there were too many individual errors," Mowbray added.

"But that's all part of the development of the young players we've got at the club.

"The players put a huge effort into getting back into the game but there was some suicidal stuff at the end.

"There are times to play with the ball and times not to play."
