West Brom gaffer Tony Mowbray admits he is in two minds about whether to hand trialist Tininho a permanent deal at The Hawthorns. The Portuguese defender played in Wednesday evening's 5-1 win over Northampton at Sixfields where he completed the full game at left-back. While Mowbray was impressed with Tininho's attacking play, there were concerns about his defensive capabilities.

The Baggies boss said: "His main strength is when we've got the ball and going forward. If we are to progress things with him, there is plenty of work still to be done on the training ground around his defensive qualities. He can put some quality balls into the box and his use of the ball was good."
