Tony Mowbray has pinpointed the performances of Robert Koren as a key factor in West Brom's surge into the top two of the Championship. The Slovenia midfielder moved to the Hawthorns from Lillestrom during the January transfer window and any fears he may take time to adjust to English football have been allayed.
Mowbray said: "Robert has been an integral part of the results we have managed to gather together since his arrival at the club. He just brings a different ingredient to our midfield than what we had in the past. I have talked a lot about the balance of the team and Robert has helped to adjust that balance of the team and the results have reflected that a little bit. It is not just all about Robert. It is about the balance of the side. You've got to have the creativity and the work ethic as well but I think he brings us a touch of both to the team. He is a full international, he has a bit of experience but I also like his personality around the place, the way he goes about his training and his job. I would assume he is finding it exciting at the moment, playing in different stadiums on different stages. His motivation level remains very high because every week is a new challenge to him. We have been pleased with his contribution."
