Mowbray ready to unleash Miller

Tony Mowbray is preparing to welcome back Ishmael Miller from injury after admitting the January signing has been missed in the last four games. The 'Moston Menace' has been forced to sit out the last month with a hamstring injury picked up against Cardiff City but is now fit to face Sheffield United.

The ten-goal, 20-year-old striker is now expected to make an appearance against the Blades with Roman Bednar likely to miss out through a groin injury picked up during the 2-1 loss against Barnsley.

Albion boss Tony Mowbray is now looking forward to again witness 'Ish's' pace, power and 'individuality' which won him an early season call-up to the England Under 21s.

"Ishmael has been a big miss for us because of his individuality around the box," Mowbray said.

"I keep reading in away-day programmes that he's the player with the most shots in this league - on target and off target.

"That's a great credit to him, considering he hasn't played week in, week out because of a few injuries.

"He attracts the ball in the last third of the pitch and invariably gets shots away because he's got such tight control and body strength.

"He has been a miss to us but great credit must go to Roman Bednar and Kevin Phillips because the goals are still going in.

"However, the more competition you've got for places, the better it is for the team."
