In his search to find players worthy of gracing the Premiership, Albion boss Tony Mowbray has admitted some of the current squad may be shown the Hawthorns exit door. The Baggies boss knows the need to strengthen with new signings predictably replacing current squad members, however Mowbray has revealed he has yet to received any offers for fringe players.

"There are one or two and until I have conversations with them I can't say who," said Mowbray.

"But I can't envisage that happening until a manager phones me.

"I am not chasing people out the door now.

"But let's wait and see when we come back.

"If people are putting their squads together and we get calls about players that we feel might be allowed to leave, it might happen.

"I don't think we've got any players who fall into the category of being let go."

Mowbray also gave an update on the current squad members, Zoltan Gera, Kevin Phillips and Martin Albrechtsen who have yet to sign new contracts, ahead of Albion's first season in the top-flight since the 2005/2006 campaign.

"We're aware that we've got three players out of contract and I have got no news on them.

"I'm sure they will be looking at all the options they've got, with us being one of them, and they will decide on their futures."
