No complaints from Pulis after Arsenal defeat

Tony Pulis admist Albion were well beaten by Arsenal during the Baggies’ 2-0 defeat at The Emirates.

Arsenal dominated for long periods of the game and took the lead after only five minutes when Alexis Sanchez spun Sandro on the edge of the area and fired past Ben Foster.

The Chilean made it two for the night midway through the half when he fired a free kick past the wrong footed Ben Foster.

Albion’s best effort of the night came from a James McClean corner when Gareth McAuley headed against the bar.

“I can have no complaints about the result. Arsenal were the better side throughout the game,” Pulis said.

“And I'm not going to criticise the players either - they've done very well for me this season.

“We've played well at times this season but today we looked leggy, off the pace.

“And when we come to the better teams everyone has to be on it and we simply weren't.”

Although Pulis had no complaints about the result, he did suggest the day of the week may have had some influence on the outcome.

“They were the better side. And maybe preparation for the game is something I need to look at,” he said.

“I've managed games before in Europe on a Thursday but today was the first domestically.

“Maybe I need to look at myself and our preparation in that respect.

“Perhaps we could have done things differently.”
