Pearson In Talks With Tractor Boys

Albion boss Bryan Robson has confirmed that Pearson is to have talks with Ipswich and that he would not stand in his way should he be offered the post made vacant by Joe Royle's departure at the end of the season.

"We have reluctantly given Nigel permission to speak to Ipswich," said Robson.

"He is an important part of my staff and we don't want to lose him.

"But Nigel would like the chance to be a manager in his own right and this is a very good opportunity for him."

"I don't want to stand in Nigel's way."
